What Site Clearing Involves
Site clearing isn’t just cutting things down. A properly cleared site goes through several stages, and what’s required varies significantly depending on the block’s vegetation, terrain, and council overlay.
Vegetation assessment and council compliance Before any machinery moves in, we assess what’s on the site — and what’s protected. Lake Macquarie City Council and Newcastle City Council both have tree preservation orders. Some native species require an approval before removal. We identify these early so there are no stop-work notices mid-job.
Vegetation removal Trees, shrubs, ground cover, and weeds — removed cleanly. For large trees, we work with qualified arborists where required.
Stump removal and grinding Stumps left in the ground cause long-term problems — they rot, they shift, they create voids under slabs. We remove or grind stumps to below grade depending on what’s going on top of the land.
Debris removal and disposal Everything that comes off the site goes to an approved disposal facility. No fly-tipping, no leaving debris at the boundary for someone else to deal with.
